DECLARATION ON ACCESSIBILITY

Sportmoden Eisbär GmbH is committed to making its website www.myeisbaer.com accessible in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) and Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Compliance status
This website is currently not fully compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 AA. We are currently working on a complete relaunch of the webshop with a new technical system that will meet accessibility requirements much more effectively.

Non-accessible content
The following barriers currently exist, among others:

  • Not all content is accessible via keyboard navigation.
  • Not all images contain alternative text descriptions.
  • The contrast of text and interactive elements is sometimes insufficient.
  • The structuring of headings and ARIA labels is not consistently implemented correctly.
  • HTML attributes for better orientation for screen readers are missing.

Planned improvements
We plan to switch the webshop to a new shop system as part of a complete relaunch. Accessibility will be considered from the very beginning. The goal is to make the website largely accessible by the end of October 2025.

Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 28 June 2025. The assessment is based on an internal evaluation.

Enforcement procedure
If you are not satisfied with the response to your feedback or do not receive a response, you can contact the enforcement body for accessible information technology:

The responsible authority under the BaFG is currently the Sozialministeriumservice (SMS), acting on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection. Complaints can be submitted informally – for example, via e-mail or the online contact form – to the Sozialministeriumservice.

Important: The formal complaint procedure according to §§25ff BaFG will only be available from 28 June 2025. Before this date, we kindly ask you to report barriers directly to us. We will of course review and resolve your feedback as well.

The Sozialministeriumservice will review your complaint to determine whether there is a violation of the BaFG requirements. It may request a statement from the company and recommend corrective measures. If the company still fails to comply with accessibility requirements, the authority may initiate administrative proceedings in accordance with § 36 BaFG – in extreme cases, fines of up to €80,000 may be imposed. In the worst case, products may be removed from the market or services prohibited. (Of course, we hope it doesn't come to that and will do everything we can to voluntarily correct any deficiencies.)
