Breathability refers to a material's ability to allow water vapor (sweat) to pass from the inside to the outside, and is therefore a measure of its water vapor permeability.

Cold protection

This product has an inner lining—depending on the model, this can be a fleece band around the entire circumference, a full fleece lining, or another variant that reliably keeps the forehead, ears, and neck warm. A fleece band allows air to escape and circulate above the head. A full lining, on the other hand, is an excellent choice even for low levels of activity. All variants cover the ears and protect them from drafts.

The Niva Women's Sweater was knitted in a small run for the 70th anniversary, from a merino blend you can wear straight against the skin. On cold mornings and winter hikes it holds the warmth where you want it. Merino wool slows the cold and still lets air move through. The regular fit sits loosely and leaves your arms free.
