Compared to other materials, natural merino wool can be considered the material that keeps the air cleanest. This is due to the structure of the fiber, its antibacterial surface, and its self-cleaning effect. A comparison between merino and synthetic materials also shows that synthetics usually start to smell faster. A true marvel of nature! Nevertheless, it must be clear that wool absorbs moisture and is therefore less suitable for people who sweat heavily in intensive mode.

The Zera Tube carries a soft fleece band exactly where wool tends to scratch at the neck. That keeps it pleasant all day on a ski tour or a winter hike. The merino knit warms, wicks the moisture of the climb away, and barely picks up odour. Merino blended with acrylic holds its shape and sits softly around your neck.
